Smash TV fan art by HYPERJOSEPH Smash TV fan art by HYPERJOSEPH
This is an anime-styled fanart dedicated to Smash TV, a Robotron-like game set in a deadly game show.
The man in the picture is supposed to be the player one character from Smash TV or in this case Contestant One, there's a couple differences from his in-game design [link] , His helmit is black instead of blue and has visible hair under it.

The girl by him is supposed to be one of the showgirls from the game, with some differences, her hair has a slightly different style, she doesn't have lipstick, she wears a choker, her bikini top has a green triangle on it, her bikini bottom has a knot on one side and a ring on the other, the game clearly depicts her with blonde hair, the visuals of this image, give her yellowish-blue & yellowish-cyan, but technnically it's still blonde.

The setting is identical to what it appears in-game, but with a few differences,:
• the stand has an identical top to the game, but the lower part of it is an upwards cylinder, similar to those Duramolds Williams made, it has a logo saying Smash T.V., and lastly the stand has a monitor displaying the score similar to the NES version's "monitor" durring the results screen.
•The lights on the big screen are circles rather than rectangles, the red line above the blue is spraypainted reather than being a straight line, the score counter has rainbow digits and commas and instead of VCRs, the prizes shown on the big screen are DVD players, and the "bonus message" appears above where the score counter is.

If you don't llike this image, don't comment.

I got the "yellowish-blue" and "yellowish-cyan" colors from here: [link]

I took some insoiration from a Japan-made "fan art" for Smash TV, if you want a link, send me a note.

Smash T.V. at Fanpop: [link]

I'm currently thinking of putting up Contestant 2 with a similar outfit to the box arts and a pose identical to the title screen from the Amstrad CPC & ZX Spectrum complete with a showgirl holding his leg.

Smash TV and it's characters are most likely owned by Warner Bros. as of 2009.

Back in the arcades at movie theaters in 1989, Mutoid Man used to remind me of Krangs robot from TMNT

Ah "Smash TV"...memories. <3

Good use of perspective here, it's fairly consistent and gives us a good overview of the characters and background (though you do need to work on your horizontal alignments a bit, I think). You wanna work on your proportions a bit, though; your male character simply looks too big in the body to fit in either with his female friend nor with his own head, IMO. Still, you've definitely got a nice eye for scene-setting. :)
