In my vision, he would be the previous leader of his self-named Jet Force Squadron, Gemini.
He was the one who, with the help of his squad, saved Juno, his sister Vela, and their dog Lupus when their parents were slaughtered by space pirates.
During the time he raised them, he got cranky whenever any of them misbehaved.
After raising them to be soldiers, at some point, Mizar's forces attacked the Jet Force, costing it many soldiers.
In the end, he named Juno the new leader of Jet Force Gemini, and sacrificed himself using a grenade, his only good weapon left, to kill off a majority of the pursuing drones, getting himself killed in the blast.
